About Red Sea Intelligence

Red Sea Intelligence is an independent open-source intelligence (OSINT) publication dedicated to verified, attributed reporting on the Horn of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and the Red Sea maritime corridor. Our coverage spans security and conflict, maritime operations and trade, diplomacy, and political economy across a region that links the Suez Canal to the Indian Ocean and sits at the intersection of global shipping, energy flows, and great-power competition.

Every claim we publish carries a confidence label — CONFIRMED, DEVELOPING, OSINT, ASSESSMENT, or UNVERIFIED — so readers can weigh each item against the strength of its sourcing rather than accepting it as established fact. Where claims are contested, we attribute them to their respective claimants and note where independent verification is insufficient. We do not adjudicate disputed territorial or political positions; we report them as presented by each party.

Red Sea Intelligence is built for analysts, mariners, diplomats, journalists, and decision-makers who need a reliable, structured picture of a fast-moving region. Our editorial desk monitors ports and military installations, ceasefires and the ceasefires that fail, cross-border incursions, naval escort patterns, and the economic currents that shape them — from Djibouti and Eritrea to Yemen, Sudan, and the Gulf.

The publication is produced by a small independent team of OSINT researchers and editors. We draw on wire reporting, regional outlets, maritime trackers, satellite imagery, and official statements, and we publish our sourcing standards and methods openly. Corrections are made promptly and noted. Our reader verification desk lets visitors submit any link or claim for an attributed, web-enabled fact-check, because trust in intelligence reporting is earned, not assumed.
